Lytro cameras will let you shoot first and then select which object you want to focus on. That’s right – after you shoot. The cameras will work by capturing a significantly higher degree of light than the current generation of cameras. You can get a feel of how this will work in their picture gallery, where you can click on any point in the picture to make it refocus. Can’t wait to see this in action!

Bit of old, but nevertheless hyper-useful news. Kayak Explore is an awesome site that will let you browse your trip options on a map using criteria varying from price and time of the year you’d like to travel to what sort of sports you’d like to do once you get there.
Michael John Blake created a musical interpretation of the Pi, translating each of the first 31 decimals into a note and performing the piece on various instruments. Priceless, as Brainpicker said.
